The Financial Future We Want: Inclusive and Transparent Financial

A webinar series hosted by AgAu.io, TARCO NGO & AIER — The Bastiat Society

To have a system that is financially inclusive means making financial services readily available to more of the world’s population for reasonable costs. In 2021, a big part of the world is still left outside of the financial system. The actual financial services provided to numerous nations have many disadvantages and currently do not serve the people. It is hard to imagine financial inclusion in the actual financial system, as we know it today.

According to the World Bank Institute, access to well-functioning and efficient financial services can give a voice to individuals both economically and socially, allowing them to integrate into the country’s economic activity and contribute to economic growth and development. To combat these issues, AgAu.io, TARCO NGO & AIER — The Bastiat Society want to embody a sense of urgency and act upon given challenges.

On April 29th, at 18:00 (CET) AgAu.io, TARCO NGO & AIER — The Bastiat Society are gathering representatives of the multilateral institutions, NGOs, academia, and private sector within the Webinar Series — The Financial Future We Want: Inclusive and Transparent Financial System. Our current financial systems do not allow for proper inclusion and transparency. As proof, 1.7 billion adults, approximately a quarter of the global population, find themselves unbanked. This data highlights the failure at accommodating the needs of the people. In order to have a truly inclusive and transparent financial system, we need to fundamentally redesign the actual system. The innovations in fintech, distributed database technologies, blockchain, and digital transactions can allow for solutions to the common problems that are faced with traditional systems. When discussing transparency, efficiency, and security, we often see when we gain advancements in fintech it allows for greater financial inclusion to be achieved.

The remodeling of our current systems is going to require a consolidated effort from all sectors. Nevertheless, acting and working responsibly is instrumental in ensuring global needs. By doing so, we expect to provide an equal playing field by lifting and empowering those who need it the most. In AgAu for SDGs Report, we highlight that through a global network of partners we can achieve great goals and why the current situation regarding the unbanked is a serious problem impeding sustainable growth.

To combat the above-mentioned issues of poverty and lack of financial inclusion, AgAu.io, TARCO NGO & AIER — The Bastiat Society are gathering cross-sector experts on April 29th, at 18:00 (CET) for the Webinar Series — The Financial Future We Want: Inclusive and Transparent Financial System.
